She is an associate professor of psychology at Wilfrid Laurier University (Ontario, Canada), with research interests broadly based in human development and health psychology She is also trained in cognitive behavioural therapy and mindfulness-based therapeutic approaches. Both in teaching and clinical practice, Dr. Geldart equips adults and young people with a toolbox of coping and life skills to help deal with the many stressors we all face at work and school including in Her recent self-help book, Alone Time: Embracing Solitude for Health and Well-Being Expect to learn - How smartphones have damaged our mental health - Why taking time for solitude is so important - How to set boundaries so you can stay connected to people whilst also getting some alone time - The techniques to help build the right habits for kids so they are not screen-dependent - What the so-called “Blue zones” of the world do better than the rest of us And a whole lot more.
