This episode discusses some of the phrases commonly seen on the internet about health, fitness, and self-improvement. Things like “We all have the same 24 hours in a day” “Just get up off your ass and do it.” “You’re just not trying hard enough.” “No excuses!” These aren’t helpful in enabling us to work towards our goals and they usually make us feel crappy in the process if we can’t do it. No shame here. Turns out you’re pretty normal if you feel this way! Not to mention this doesn’t take into account different circumstances in life including physical and mental illness.
