And just when the crew finally gets their ship together, someone else takes it. Long Paul is a broker of truth. He trades in secrets, keeps his ears everywhere, and knows things about the hooded figure that Prism doesn't. He wants information about Master PF. Allistra wants to know where La Foote is headed. The deal is simple. The implications are not. Meanwhile, the crew handles business. Baxter reads Allistra's contract and confirms it's shockingly legitimate. Allistra signs her name for the first time in her life — with Baxter literally guiding her claw. Bearnaby bribes dock workers with drug cookies, captains the ship with surprising competence, and draws a smiley face on the hull. Crinkle tries to find his old office in the jungle and discovers he's buried treasure across the entire Milky Bowl on maps that are just blank paper with an X. But the real prize: the Crackle's Revenge gets varnished. The ship is ready. Baxter asks the gods if Frost Fang is a good idea. The gods say "whatever." And as the crew sets sail toward answers, smoke fills the deck, boots hit the planks — What to expect: A spy rabbit named Long Paul, a literacy milestone, Crinkle's useless treasure maps, Baxter making a best friend in five minutes, an Augury ritual involving honey-slathered hands and erratic flying, and a cliffhanger that leads directly into our LIVE SHOW on March 22nd. Four criminals walk into a council room full of illegal weapons and try to broker a three-way alliance between factions that hate each other. It goes better than it has any right to. The party has arrived at Trix Atoll with a drugged-out bear, a leprechaun whose cookie empire runs itself, and intel worth more than gold: they saw what happened at Crackle Cradle. Prism has information of her own — a hooded figure with a sour smell offered her a seat at something big, and she's pretty sure the Soggy Bottom Pirates aren't just a legend anymore. What follows is the most productive negotiation this party has ever attempted. Crinkle pitches a supply chain merger between rival criminal enterprises. Allistra delivers a speech so persuasive she surprises herself. Baxter confesses to a lie and makes a heart with his antennae. And somehow, Emily and Prism end up at the same table agreeing to terms while a bear licks cookie crumbs off the floor. Then it's off to Slate's shipyard, where Crinkle rolls a 27 to convince a dockworker to hand over an entire mineral stockpile, Baxter sells his first box of cookies through sheer guilt, and Bearnaby impersonates a Knights of the Bowl inspector while actively high. The evening winds down. Baxter sorts rainbow rocks alone on the ship. Crinkle tries to commune with his patron in the bathroom and gets splattered with soggy goo. And just as Allistra boards for the night, a voice from the shadows claims to know where La Foote is headed. They parked a stolen cop car by driving it through the dock. Things went uphill from there. Literally. The hill is where Slate lives. The Crackle's Revenge limps into Berry Bay — a tropical cluster of volcanic islands, dense jungle canopies, and the distinct smell of every fruit you've ever eaten hitting you at once. The plan is simple: find Slate, the ship guy Coral recommended, get the Knight markings off their very stolen, very trackable vessel, and move on before anyone asks questions. The execution of this plan involves destroying a dock, impersonating police officers, a spin-huddle-walk that the locals now believe is official Knights of the Bowl protocol, and a bee who has never been happier in his entire life. But first: Crinkle has a confession. Years ago, on this very island, he started a cookie troop. Cute uniforms. Little badges. Child labor, but the fun kind. Then the children realized they didn't need him, staged a coup involving daggers and at least one twelve-year-old archmage, and drove him off the island. The troop — the Crinkle Scouts — is still operational. And their new leader, Emily, has expanded the business model to include jungle warfare, crunchberry narcotics, and branded coffee. The DM throws his notes away on camera. The players have never been more proud. What follows is the most chaotic approach to a simple fetch quest in the history of this podcast. The party needs Vanishing Varnish from the Trixians to cloak their ship. Slate can do the work if they bring the goods. Simple heist setup. Instead, the party splits: Allistra and Baxter attempt diplomacy with a Trixian market vendor, discover Baxter is both casually racist and profoundly bad at espionage, and then Allistra rolls a Natural 20 deception to frame Emily — a teenage cookie mogul — for the destruction of Cracklecradle Port. Meanwhile, Crinkle and Bearnaby get lost in the jungle, get captured at gunpoint by camouflaged leprechaun children, and Bearnaby eats an entire box of drug-laced cookies and a cup of drug coffee and becomes the highest bear in the Milky Bowl. Then Crinkle gives Emily a golden merit badge and she almost cries. We almost cried. The bee almost cried, but he was too busy receiving garbled telepathic messages from a bear who forgot what an island is. Somehow — through a combination of incredible lies, emotional manipulation, childhood trauma, and narcotics — both groups independently convince their targets to attend a joint meeting at Trix Atoll. Where Prism, the Trixian alchemist who actually controls the Vanishing Varnish, steps out to greet them. Whether she's going to help them, arrest them, or ask why the bear is crying remains to be seen. Soggy Bottom Pirates | Session Three: Crackle's Revenge

They stole a cop car. Now they have to live with it. The Silver Ladle is cutting through the Milky Sea with four people who absolutely should not be operating a Knights of the Bowl vessel, wearing Knights of the Bowl uniforms, arguing about Knights of the Bowl employment law. The first order of business: a formal performance review for the guy who blew himself up last episode. The second: figuring out who can actually read the pirate contracts. Our crew debates what to do with their extremely stolen, extremely recognizable ship. Crinkle suggests his old friend a retired Toucan Folk cartographer. Bearnaby starts sanding off the ship's name immediately. Allistra throws the bee overboard. The bee deserved it. But the Charted Wake, a floating tavern in the middle of nowhere, isn't having the quiet day it expected either. Something rainbow-colored and deeply wrong has attached itself to the hull, and it's spawning bubble creatures with hands. The crew's solution: fire a cannon at it. The cannon rolls a Natural 20. Sixty-three points of damage. The DM had planned a whole encounter. The DM is fine. After rescuing an old Toucan Folk friend, a small Smackling child named Missing Meg, the crew learns something that changes everything. The Soggy Bottom Pirates, supposedly mythical pirate lords of the outer rim, might be real. And might be responsible for Cracklecradle Port. Then they spend fifteen minutes arguing about what to name their ship. Democracy is tested. What to expect: Corporate employment structures applied to piracy, a tiger who can't read trying very hard to bluff through a contract review, the phrase "gay ass station" earning a permanent place in the show's vocabulary, a Yoshi flutter-jump across a boarding plank, and the single greatest cannon shot in history. The Spindle has gone dark. Cracklecradle Port smells like smoke and regret, and somewhere beneath the milky waves, a robot full of stolen god-essence is walking toward who-knows-where with a bird scientist in a bubble. Our heroes, if we're being generous with that word, are left standing in the wreckage with nothing but questions, a handful of bets, and the dawning realization that maybe they should get a boat. The con artist writes a mysterious note and hands it to a bear. The Tigris fighter storms off to find her mentor and gets information she absolutely does not want. The bear starts looting a church. And the anxious Honeykin cook? He just accidentally quit his job via prolonged eye contact with his boss and is now being handed a coconut bomb by strangers. The plan is simple: volunteer to unload a Knights of the Bowl supply ship, create a small distraction, and sail off into the sunset as definitely-not-pirates. The execution involves a tiny leprechaun disguised as a tiger child saying "come on, mommy," a guard who really wants to talk about step-parenting, and a cleric who decides the best place to plant an explosive is inside the church. What to expect: Magical honey smeared on wounds with concerning enthusiasm, a natural 20 that reveals way too much about incoming ships, mirror conversations with entities that refuse to answer, "the oven" as an alibi, a Suggestion spell requesting a 30-minute dance routine, one guard kicked into the harbor, one guard who stops splashing suspiciously fast, and the birth of the most reluctant pirate crew in the Milky Bowl.
