Descripción

"He lives badly who does not know how to die well" - Seneca There is a difference between being alive, and LIVING; and perhaps one of the best ways to put this into perspective is to understand life's relationship with death and the immanency of death in our life. Too many don't know how to die well and therefore are scared of death. However, learning how to properly live, sets us free from the fear of death and ultimately sets us up for our  final rite of passage in this life.  Follow myself as i draw from Seneca's famous teachings in this weeks episode on creating an intimate relationship with death in our daily lives.

Ep 1. The First Step- A Shift in Mindset

For millions of years humans have actively fought elements of nature and animal for survival. Now, in a modern time where survival is easier than ever, where technology has made us more comfortable than ever, where humans can literally get a welfare check for just breathing... we are no longer fighting for physical survival; we are fighting a new battle for survival: humanities mental survival. There is a reason why so many people have to get inspired over and over by motivational material, but fall back to their original ways they are trying to ditch shortly after. They have not yet created a fundamental shift in their mindset in the way they think, act, and see the world and themselves. They are trying to act before first realizing the problem and changing the way they think.  They are still suppressed by their own egos and delusions and of the ego and delusions of the world. We live in a technological age where it is easier than ever to fulfill humanities potential that historical generations could only ever dream of in the past; but it is also easier than ever to get lost on the wrong path and with the wrong intentions. its easier than ever to get lost in procrastination and comforts of modern society; but by doing so we fail ourselves, and we fail humanity.  In order to truly reach the full potential  we all want to reach, and in order for humanity to continue to evolve, we must realize the delusions and ego of modern comforts that are killing our mentalities. we must take the first step towards a modern awakening, and that, is awakening our mindsets to recognize the delusion.   "humanity is now faced with a stark choice: evolve or die.” - Eckhart Tolle
