Today Momspert Gina and Momspert Jess finally get to meet part of the reason that Momspert Rachel is who she is today!  I was suffering from a lot of medical concerns in 2018 and by 2019 I had finally worked up the courage to go to the doctor. I was dreading it because as a very overweight woman who has always been big her entire life the number one cause of my medical concerns was due to my weight. I have never been a size 2 or got to shop at limited 2 when I was a tween. I was always bigger boned as I liked to say. I used food to cope with everything and everyone and by the time I hit 27 I was in the fast lane to not make it past 30. When I went to the doctor that February in 2019 and his first suggestion was the dietician I literally rolled my eyes and said ya know what fine and if this doesn't work I can get bariatric surgery? I went into that small cave-like office with no intention of this actually working. The moment I met Catherine though this would change. There was just something about her that gave me hope. I was determined to get the surgery and I had done all the research and even started changing my eating habits but this time was different. I had a friend who wasn't pushing me to lose weight but pushing me to feel good. She was pushing me to find goals and achieve goals that made me feel empowered. THIS WAS THE DIFFERENCE! It was no longer connected to the size of clothes I wore. I never felt like she looked down on me because of the size jeans I wore. I am glad that I was able to have the opportunity to make such a great friend who inspired me to feel good about myself and the choices I was making.  You can follow Catherine at CatherinejohnstonRD on IG.

Story Time With Gina, infertility with a Happy Ending

Tribe Moms listen to gina's journey to pregnancy. Infertility is heartbreaking but sometimes you have stories of success and the WB Boys are one of the stories!  WHEN MOMSPERT GINA WAS TOLD IN 2015 YEARS BEFORE THINKING ABOUT MOTHERHOOD SHE THOUGHT NOTHING OF THE DOCTOR TELLING HER SHE HAD A HEART-SHAPED UTERUS. SHE KEPT THE REMARK AND CONTINUED ON WITH HER LIFE. IN 2017 THEY WERE READY TO START A FAMILY AND UNLIKE MANY DECIDED TO GO TO THE GYN BEFORE STARTING. THIS IS WHEN THAT HEART-SHAPED UTERUS COMMENT FROM THE DR'S IN THE ER WOULD PROVE TO MEAN A JOURNEY THAT IS FAR MORE DIFFICULT THAN JUST DOING THE DEED. BICORNUATE UTERUS [https://www.healthline.com/health/womens-health/bicornuate-uterus] IS SOMETHING NO WOMAN WANTS TO HEAR WHEN THEY ARE TRYING TO CONCEIVE AND IT'S A SAD FATE FOR MANY BUT. WITH THE ENCOURAGEMENT OF FRIENDS AND FAMILY, SHE DECIDED TO GIVE IT A GO WITH A FERTILITY SPECIALIST! FINDING OUT THAT WITH A SIMPLE SURGERY SHE WOULD NOT LIVE THE FATE THAT SO MANY HAVE TO ENDURE!  Listen to the full story on today's episode!  Gina's advice for women who hear they aren't able to conceive is: ALWAYS ask for a second opinion.  Themommytribepod.com reach out to us by email at themommytribepod@gmail.com or on IG at themommytribepod!
