Descripción

NEEDS Associates going Virtual with Wilderness, Remote & Disaster Medical Care Having had to postpone the May/June WFR program indefinitely due to COVID-19, we are taking the program Virtual... for the most part. We have a strong belief that when it comes to providing Emergency Care Training, the hands-on skills practice and development with an Instructor and Classmates is a critical component to an effective training program. NEEDS Associates will be “rescheduling” the postponed WFR Course with some key changes. We will be facilitating Lecture and Discussion in a distance learning environment using a combination of Zoom and Facebook, while scheduling for a number of Lab Sessions to be done in person. This will enable us to provide the course with the best quality possible, while maintaining the mandated COVID-19 Guidelines. We will be completing the logistics and planning over the next few weeks, and will be hoping to have a schedule of the live stream lecture/discussion sessions, and dates for the Lab Skills Sessions. Currently as we work on the planning, the course will be completed over the course of Approximately 10-12 weeks with Live Stream Lecture/discussion 2x a week, with a Skills weekend approximately every 3 weeks. The course will consist of Live Streams, Facilitated and free form discussion in FB group, with skills development and testing, all culminating in a Testing Weekend to consist of a Final Practical Scenario, turn in Skills Log, and complete the written exam. As details are finalized, and a concrete schedule is made, we will open up registration for the course. The Skills Lab Sessions will be facilitated in the Utica Region, so please keep this in mind to account for your schedule. If you are interested, or intend to register for the course and would like to be kept up to date by email, please fill out the form below. Join the course email list!
