We discuss the recent Southwark Playhouse Elephant production of the new musical "Hot Mess" by Jack Godfrey and Ellie Coote, After a billion years of bad dates, Earth has finally found the one… Humanity. Sparks fly. Technology flourishes. Wheat is harvested. But what begins as a passionate love affair between the universe’s most iconic couple quickly descends into a hot mess. We discuss the show in three 'acts'. First we focus on music, lyrics and book, then performances, and finally production. Other reviews include: The Twits on Netflix, Black Power Desk at Brixton House, Love Quirks at the Other Palace Studio, Get Down Tonight: The KC and the Sunshine Band Musical at Charing Cross Theatre, and 50 First Dates The Musical at The Other Palace. New Musical Review: Already Perfect at the Kings Head Theatre

We discuss the Kings Head Theatre production of the new musical "Already Perfect" by Levi Kreis. On the eve of his Broadway show being filmed for the archives, Levi finds himself alone in his dressing room, unravelling and on the brink of ending it all. When an unexpected encounter occurs, a bit of theatrical magic happens. The walls of the room begin to shift, and what follows is a deeply personal journey through memory, identity, and self-reckoning. Joined by Ben, Levi is propelled into an emotional collision of past and present, where long-buried moments resurface and the stories we tell ourselves are put to the test. We discuss the show in three 'acts'. First we focus on music, lyrics and book, then performances, and finally production before giving our star ratings.
