🙏 Ep. 359 Wisdom From Above ✝️ Faith In Action 📖 James 3:13-18 Are you facing decisions or situations that leave you feeling overwhelmed, conflicted, or stressed? The world offers plenty of advice, but there is a massive difference between human cleverness and the peace-filled wisdom that comes directly from God. Today, we are continuing our Faith In Action series by diving into [[James 3:13-18]]. We’ll look at the stark contrast between "wisdom from below" (which leads to disorder and division) and "wisdom from above" (which brings purity, peace, and spiritual growth). Ep. 356 The Royal Law

📖 Ep. 356 The Royal Law Faith In Action James 2:5-13 Join us as we continue our study through James and discover how God's people are called to live out their faith through love, mercy, and obedience. ✨ 1. GOD PROMISES ETERNAL BLESSINGS "Listen, my beloved brothers, has not God chosen those who are poor in the world to be rich in faith and heirs of the kingdom..." — James 2:5 God's values are not the world's values. He sees what man overlooks and promises eternal riches to those who love Him. We are reminded throughout Scripture to care for the needy, honor the poor, and trust God's wisdom above worldly status. ✨ 2. GOD PROVIDES THE ROYAL LAW "If you really fulfill the royal law according to the Scripture, 'You shall love your neighbor as yourself,' you are doing well." — James 2:8 The Royal Law is simple to understand but challenging to practice: love others the way God has loved us. Genuine faith produces genuine love, humility, compassion, and concern for others. ❤️ Love fulfills the law. ❤️ Love reflects God's character. ❤️ Love demonstrates true faith. ✨ 3. GOD PUNISHES THE LAW BREAKER "But if you show partiality, you are committing sin..." — James 2:9 God's standard is perfect holiness. Even one violation of His law reveals our need for His grace. James reminds us that favoritism is not a small issue—it is sin that must be confessed and forsaken. ✨ 4. GOD HAS FREED US TO PURSUE HOLINESS "So speak and so act as those who are to be judged under the law of liberty." — James 2:12 Because of Christ, believers have been set free—not to live carelessly, but to pursue holiness and extend mercy to others. 🙌 Mercy triumphs over judgment. 🙌 Truth sets us free. 🙌 Good works flow from a transformed heart. 📅 Join us live as we learn how faith in Christ produces love without favoritism, mercy without compromise, and obedience that glorifies God. #FaithInAction #BookOfJames #TheRoyalLaw #LoveYourNeighbor #MercyTriumphs #NorthparkBaptistChurch #BibleStudy #SundayService

Ep. 355 Faith Over Favoritism

📖 Ep. 355 Faith Over Favoritism Faith In Action James 2:1-7 James reminds us that genuine faith does not play favorites. God shows no partiality, and as followers of Christ, we are called to love and value people not by their appearance, wealth, or social status, but according to God's truth. 🔹 1. HOLD THE FAITH AND SHOW NO PARTIALITY "My brothers, show no partiality as you hold the faith in our Lord Jesus Christ, the Lord of glory." James 2:1 God is impartial in His judgment and grace. When we show favoritism, we fail to reflect His character and violate His commands. 🔹 2. WHEN WE LOOK AT PREFERABLE APPEARANCES "Have you not then made distinctions among yourselves and become judges with evil thoughts?" James 2:4 The world is impressed by wealth, influence, and outward appearance, but God looks beyond what is visible. Faith calls us to see people through God's eyes rather than our own prejudices. 🔹 3. WHEN WE DISMISS THE POOR "Listen, my beloved brothers, has not God chosen those who are poor in the world to be rich in faith and heirs of the kingdom?" James 2:5 God has always cared for the humble, the needy, and the overlooked. The gospel reminds us that our greatest riches are found in Christ, not in earthly possessions. 🙏 Join us as we continue our study through the book of James and learn how authentic faith treats every person with Christlike love. #FaithInAction #James2 #FaithOverFavoritism #BookOfJames #BiblicalFaith #SundaySermon #NorthparkBaptistChurch
