Descripción

This was a training I shared with my BITE coaching clients to help them improve their tracking skills when using MyFitnessPal or any other app. Tracking is a hugely important skill to master when it comes to building your nutrition skills for life. #19 Brian O' hAonghusa: Binge eating in men & how mental health skills apply to your nutrition

In this episode of The Nutrition Momentum Podcast, I sat down with nutritionist and cognitive behavioural therapist Brian O’hAonghusa to unpack his move deeper into the mental health space, and what that’s taught him about the real drivers behind eating behaviours. We talked through his MSc research on men’s disordered eating, how fitness culture can normalise rigid habits, and the difference between genuine discipline and compulsion dressed up as “health”. We also got into how to spot reputable nutrition information in a world of confident nonsense, including the red flags Brian looks for, the green flags that signal a credible educator, and how to think about evidence without needing a PhD. Throughout the conversation, one theme kept coming up: your nutrition and your mental health are not separate problems, they feed into each other. episode #18 Chatting with clinical pharmacist and coach Kaleem Aslam artwork

#18 Chatting with clinical pharmacist and coach Kaleem Aslam

In this episode of The Nutrition Momentum Podcast I sat down with clinical pharmacist & coach Kaleem Aslam to discuss how working on our lifestyle can have a huge impact on our overall health. I first met Kaleem as part of a 12 week photoshoot prep we did back in late 2025. It was clear from the start that he practices what he preaches; both with himself and with his coaching. You probably think the pharmacist is someone who just gives us pills and tells us how many to take. However Kaleem is a huge advocate of promoting a healthy lifestyle and changing your behaviour in order to have lasting effects on our health. You'll mainly find Kaleem over on Instagram @coachedbykaleem [ https://www.instagram.com/coachedbykaleem/] Kaleem has just started a YouTube channel so do head over, give him some views and pop him a nice comment. episode #17 How my client Mary lost over 40lbs artwork

#17 How my client Mary lost over 40lbs

In this episode of The Nutrition Momentum Podcast, I sit down to chat with Mary Brosnan one of my 1to1 nutrition & lifestyle clients. Mary signed up to work with me in November 2024. She was worried about her health and fed up with how she looked an felt. She had tried numerous diets and ways of losing weight in the past but by the time we met she told me that she didn't know how to actually lose weight. What followed was an incredible 15 months of growth and progress as well as huge success with her fat loss goal. It's been a privilege to work with her and see her growth over the last while. I hope you enjoy her story as much as I've enjoyed working with this amazing woman. If you enjoy the podcast, then do share it with someone who would enjoy it and also please do leave a review. It helps me a lot and I greatly appreciate it 🙏

episode #16 Bridging the gap in rehab, pain & performance with Colman Corrigan artwork

#16 Bridging the gap in rehab, pain & performance with Colman Corrigan

In this episode of The Nutrition Momentum Podcast, I sit down with Colman Corrigan who's a coach, former colleague, and fellow traveller from our Movement 101 and TELOS days to explore the real work behind high quality rehab and why pain is never as simple as “strengthen this” or “rest that.” We get into the messy, human side of recovery: the pressure athletes feel to get back fast, the stories people tell themselves about pain, and why the best coaching often happens in the grey areas that physios don’t always have time to sit with. Colman brings a brilliant perspective on rehabilitation as a whole-person process rather than a checklist, and we talk about our own experiences navigating pain, identity, and the expectations that come with performance. We also break down what actually helps people move better, feel better and come out the other side stronger, from the role of nutrition and stress, to the psychological load of being injured, to why coaches in the “middle space” matter more now than ever. https://www.instagram.com/coly_corrigan/?hl=en [https://www.instagram.com/coly_corrigan/?hl=en]
