Dr. Callegari holds a PhD in Criminal Justice with an emphasis on Public Policy. His primary area of research is reform legislation specific to Louisiana. He holds a bachelor’s degree from LSUA in criminal justice, a master’s degree from McNeese state University in Criminal Justice Leadership and a PhD in Criminal Justice/Public Policy from Liberty University. He is retired from a career in law enforcement and is now a college professor. He teaches at LSUA and Southern New Hampshire University. He is an online content creator for online college courses. In addition to teaching criminal justice classes, he teaches classes such as cultural diversity, problem solving, leadership, and ethics. Dr. Callegari is an elected school board member in Avoyelles Parish, a commissioner for the Louisiana Law Enforcement Hall of Fame, Chairman of the Avoyelles Home Rule Charter Commission, a regional member of the LSU Ag Leadership Council, and a sitting member of Dunlap Stone Universities master’s in public administration and criminal justice Advisory Board. He resides on the outskirts of Cottonport with his wife of 28 years and three almost grown up children.
