Descripción

"I wish I could tell 18-year-old Maanvi to focus on exercise." That's what one of us thought while doing yoga on a Monday morning. By Tuesday, our Whatsapp chat were filled with similar lists of what we wished we could go back in time and tell our 18-year-old selves. So, we did a little time travel (Ha! We wish.) Instead, we just recorded a podcast episode and found us giving advice to our younger selves on eating what you want, fitting in, not caring about what people say, and just living lives. What do you wish you could tell your 18-year-old self? Tell us! Find us on Instagram at @theoversmartgirlspodcast. Or, you could email us at tosgpodcast@gmail.com.

S2 Ep 4: Learning For Life (Over WiFi) ft. Neelakshi Tewari

Online classes, study abroad plans in array, students struggling, and teachers who are tired of seeing a Zoom screen — the pandemic has changed how we study. But why are we still stuck in traditional ways of teaching, and assessing students? What does being a student studying in college in 2021 feel like? Why are colleges insisting on going ahead with exams, when most students (and adults) are trying to piece their lives post-pandemic? What's the logic behind the "kids will fall behind" argument? And why can't we, in unprecedented times, ease off the pressure in schools and colleges? We got Neelakshi Tewari (@nixtewari), a researcher and PhD student on higher-ed at Arizona State University, to answer these questions, and more.   Got some ideas on what else we can talk about?
