The Oxford Brookes Biomedical Podcast Series- OBBPS
Welcome to our first interview for the Biomedical Science Society Podcast Series, with Dr Dave Carter who has been a Senior Lecturer at Oxford Brookes University for 11 years. * Join us as we learn about Dave’s past experiences in the Sanger and Babraham Institutes, his PhD thesis using RNA FISH TRAP for the first known time and the basics of non-coding RNAs and extracellular vesicles in stress response. * Learn about amazing scientific breakthroughs stemming from the various types of non-coding RNAs and Dr Carter’s favourite journal articles, as he teaches us one last time before leaving the university. A real treat, especially for those who won’t have a chance to take part in his lectures. * Finally, we conclude the interview by asking for Dr Carter’s advice for those individuals with an interest in pursuing science as a career. Thank you in advance for tuning in and giving us a listen!
