The Page Podcast
Welcome to the second episode of the new The Page Podcast presented by the Nevada Writers Hall of Fame and the University Libraries at the University of Nevada, Reno. Our hosts, author and educator Mark Maynard, along with reader and educator Karen Wikander discuss literature from both sides of the page. In this second episode, Mark and Karen who have been friends since middle school (and have similar chemistry to two siblings in the backseat on a long road trip), discuss the difference between place and setting. Are they the same or do they overlap? What is the responsibility of the writer and the reader? Spoiler alert: Mark and Karen don't necessarily agree. The Page Podcast is for both readers and writers. The Page Podcast aims to make us better readers and writers through thoughtful consideration, lively debate and practice.
