A family heirloom is an old family's treasure that is handed down from one generation to another. It enhances family ties and respect for the past.In an Indian Patriarchal family only the wives of the sons are considered eligible. Here we find them being shared by the women from one generation to another. This in itself is their step to freedom. Let us see how. This micro fiction is the first of a series that is to follow.
