Descripción

Judges: Returning to God Episode 11: Divine Power and Human Weakness (Judges 16) As the story of Samson comes to a tragic end, one great truth stands out: even when Samson betrays his Nazirite vow and squanders his divine gift, God is faithful to Samson. What a comfort to know that God can use the most flawed among his people in accomplishing his purposes. Thank you for listening! 169 - Parental Guidance Suggested (3)

Class #3 - recorded from our 10am Class in the gym (4.26.26) Here are the slides Jonathan used from this class: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1SOmHOkLtD7u5DswELB4YWcnieBxxL1Vf?usp=drive_link We’ve all heard the old adage: “Train up a child in the way they should go, and when they are old, they will not depart from it.” It’s wisdom straight from the book of Proverbs. However, as we saw in our recent study through Proverbs, sayings such as this one are not hard and fast rules. They may be generally true but don’t promise a guaranteed outcome. And who’s to say that we’re even training up our children the right way? Parenting is not for the faint of heart. This class will focus on some of the specific challenges of trying to raise up godly, resilient children who don’t fall apart when life gets hard. There won’t be any easy answers offered, but you’ll be blessed to hear the collected wisdom of fellow parents and some practical ways to help your kids develop emotional strength, character, and responsibility. Whether you’re just starting out on the parenting journey or your kids are almost grown, we’d love to have you join us for the conversation. Thank you for listening!
