You are Loved, Kept and Held !

This week Angel is transparent about how recent news of her fathers health issues seemed to rock the steady boat of her heart. She describes how she felt as if the freedom God had been unfolding in her life was in danger because of facing the unknown. But the freedom that Christ has given us is steady. It is not dependent on circumstances. The freedom we have may not look like the worlds. So we have to guard every treasure built up in our hearts, minds and bodies against the enemy so that we may not be burdened again by the yoke of slavery. We do this by remembering, standing firm in Jesus and how He shows us were loved, kept and held through it all. Will You Pretend or Will You Participate ?

We have gotten so used to being an actor in a story instead of the real hurting and broken people in our stories. Sometimes acting is what has given us a sense of safety in very scary territory throughout our journeys. God gets that and He’s saying come to me. This week Angel allows her own walls to come down as she comes to the realization that she is not actor in some story. But her story is real , the pain is real thus being in need of true healing. How must we heal if we don’t have a true need ? When we become participants in what it looks like to allow God to touch our hearts , being real about the pain instead of pretending, this is how healing happens !

The Hope In Your Story

It is so easy to look at our stories and see just the pain it has left behind. We often look pieces of that pain in the face daily as we keep silent. But all the while the burden of carrying and not sharing our stories has made a lot of us lose hope in the power God put inside the lense of how you overcame and made it through. Angel speaks about how sharing our stories aren’t always easy but the hope we and others gain in return can change generations!
