The Rediscovery Room
In this episode, I'm talking about what it means to unlearn who you had to be in order to survive and to feel loved. Growing up, many of us learned early how to stay safe: by being strong, accomplished, agreeable, and quiet with our feelings. Sometimes that meant carrying grief without language, suppressing emotions that felt inconvenient or unsafe, and choosing what others wanted for us over what we genuinely wanted for ourselves. I share parts of my own story... growing up in a broken home, navigating unspoken loss, high expectations, and learning to fake a smile and be 'fine' instead of expressing my actual feelings, which shaped who I was for a long time. This episode is not about pointing blame, attacking others, or rewriting the past. It is about grief, clarity, and the slow work of reclaiming yourself. It is about understanding that unlearning isn't rebellion, it's healing. -------------------------------------------------------- Join the community: https://discord.gg/q3RxsdMB
