Episode 9 — The Miseducation: Reteaching History Books in NC Classrooms

On this episode, I welcome one of my Best friends Patrick Williams, a Middle School Social Studies Teacher in North Carolina. We discuss the Miseducation of NC History books. We speak deeply about Massacres, Riots, and Revolution that never is discussed in NC classrooms and the battle of being Black Men who are conscious of the Miseducation of our students but have to navigate through the constraints of “the curriculum standards.” Patrick Williams talks about how the Wilmington Massacre of 1898 and the Greensboro Massacre of 1979 should be taught in schools and why a teaching of Racial Terror in our textbooks is critically important to the development of our students in North Carolina classrooms.
