Eldred native and 1973 Otto-Eldred graduate Jim Pransky was a baseball scout for 25 years with six different MLB teams along with being a college coach at St. Bonaventure, George Washington and Quincy Ill. He wrote a book recently on his experiences titled "Baseball's Test of Spirit: A Man's Unlikely Odyssey into the Scouting World." Bliss threw a personal-best and No. 1 NCAA javelin at Bucknell's Bison Outdoor Classic while Freeman ran a PIAA Class 2A outdoor best 100 and 200 dash at the DeMans Team Sports Invitational.
