Descripción

Today I am sitting down with a close friend, model, photographer and an all round creative, Benjamin Kerton-Johnson. Ben has spent his last few months living in the beautiful city of Cape Town, and is a proud graduate from the University of Leeds and UCT where he majored in International History and Politics. Originally from the UK, Ben’s extensive travels have given him a broad perspective of life and the people he encounters in it. In this two part episode, we tackle the “taboo” topic of gender-oriented clothing. Here we dive deep into discussions about toxic masculinity, toxic heteronormativity, sexuality, and freedom of expression. Tune in!

9. Brian Mlambo ON: The Path of Entrepreneurship

Today I’m sitting down with the South African entrepreneur and business consultant, Brian Mlambo. Brian is a final year Accounting student at the University of Cape Town, who has been juggling a busy schedule of being a full time undergraduate whilst simultaneously running his two companies Akha Ventures and Zero1 Creations. Brian shares with us a bit more about how he got started on his path of entrepreneurship, along with some of the valuable lessons that he’s learnt in his years as a young black South African business owner. Brian has hosted multiple events and seminars that give small businesses practical ways to grow within an increasingly competitive environment. From failures to fortunes, the importance of collaboration and why surrounding yourself with the right people is so crucial for your company’s success — this episode discusses it all. Tune in!
