episode Redefining Challenge - How challenges changed me artwork

Redefining Challenge - How challenges changed me

In this episode I discuss the principles around challenge. I speak about the ways in which seeking out new challenges (voluntarily) allows us to deal with life's involuntary challenges way easier. I discuss the 4 squares of success and failure and how it pretty much sums up human psychology. I covered a small part of the topic around neural plasticity (the rewiring of our brain), and how new actions and new experiences when seeking out these challenges, can slowly start to create new pathways within our brain. I threw in a nice little analogy with this to (hopefully) help you understand. If you are looking for growth and you are bored of the monotony of day to day life, feeling stuck, tired and unfulfilled, this will be a worthwhile listen.

episode Uncertainty - The only thing that's certain artwork

Uncertainty - The only thing that's certain

In this episode covers the notion of uncertainty. It covers the topic of introspection and how going inwards, pausing, breathing and reflecting, can be the most powerful tool for making good decisions. Additionally, how our need to control things makes us worry, stress and attach a negative connotation to future outcomes. I share some insights on letting go, and how we hold on to things that weigh us down. I share one of my favourite analogies for this. Through the discussion of uncertainty, I highlight parts of our neurological function that depicts our ability to be less emotionally reactive and be more rational, analytical and controlled in our choices. By the end of this episode you should have some tools and insights that get you thinking deeper, more critical and with more clarity.
