The Roots of Wellness
TW: Today’s episode touches on thinness, dieting and disordered eating- if this isn’t for you right now, please feel free to skip and listen to the next episode xx WELCOME BACK TEAM!! Today’s episode explores the moment “healthy” turns unhealthy. Clean eating, strict routines, and “discipline” often start with good intentions, but somewhere along the way, many women lose themselves in perfectionism, control, and fear. It’s rarely the sugar or the gelato that harms you, it’s the stressed, hypervigilant relationship you develop with food, which drives overconsumption in a dysregulated way. A nervous system stuck in survival mode can’t digest, rest, or thrive. We dive into: * How good intentions turn into restrictions and identity * Why losing your period isn’t a sign of health * Breaking binge–restrict cycles through nervous system regulation * Balancing macros and intuition * Building a nourishing weekly routine without burnout This episode is a reminder that nutrition is NUANCED. Especially with so much information on social media, we need to be discerning about who we choose to listen to! (including me, who am I to say this?)
