Episode 80: A Very Special Episode - X-Men: The Last Stand

It has been three years since our last very special episode that focused on a film about the X-Men and Twenty years since the film we are discussing released which means it has finally come to this a Very Special Episode celebrating the 20th Anniversary of X-Men: The Last Stand.  This core memory in the bonds of friendship that represents the Say Reporters allows for exploration of the entire X-Men franchise as a whole and the lessons that could have been learned by other franchises out there that seem to have been ignored.  The entire episode culminates in Devon telling a personal story about the three to four hours before he first got to see this film in theaters and how that galvanized a majority of his life choices going forward.  Proving that X-Men: The Last Stand despite its flaws and rightfully warranted criticisms from the fanbase can still teach everyone a lesson or two about not only entertainment… but themselves.

Episode 492: The Sobering Report

This week’s episode has us taking a look at the world around us and taking stock of how things have changed in our lifetimes and what that may mean for the future.  Then once they’ve shared the titular sobering epiphany the Say Reporters talk about the video games they have been playing to from Devon and his time with “The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales“ to Sejohn finally going back and cleaning up his playthrough of “Batman: Arkham Origins and the duo’s future plans for to put “Double Dragon Neon’s” 14 year old online co-op mode to the test.

Episode 491: Fifty Shades of Slop

Devon shares his experience on the planet Eternia and the stomach virus he caught while visiting as Sejohn opens up about his exploration into the ever growing acceptance of Slop content on the internet.  They both let some negativity flow from them as they admit their feelings about the current state of the world but are able to reel it in by the end with a discussion about their wins with video games and the things that were able to focus on that helped joy shine through.

It is another excused absence episode of The Say Report so we are continuing our examination of the Tom Arnold Trilogy of films from 1996 with the John Landi direct adaptation of Harry Allard’s children’s books “The Stupids.” The Team does their best to recount the frankly insane plot and then examine why this is another checkmark in the loss column for Tom Arnold and attempt to discern a pattern as to why this seemed to keep happening to him thirty years ago.
