EP: 129 From Abused & Broken To A Healed Healer | Mica Louise’s Story

Rebuilt Series: Season in Blooming 🌾 Follow The School of Hard Knocks and add it to your library so you never miss an episode. About Our Guest: I’m a trauma-informed somatic and Reiki practitioner, and I support women in coming home to their bodies after trauma.  My work is deeply rooted in lived experience. I’ve walked through multiple abusive relationships, including narcissistic abuse and domestic violence. Not once
. but several times. I know what it’s like to lose yourself in those cycles
to question your reality, to feel unsafe in your own body, and to carry the weight of it all long after it ends. I’ve also navigated years of addiction, and mental health struggles. And what I found on the other side wasn’t just “healing”
it was learning how to feel safe in my body again. That’s the work I hold space for now. Through somatic healing, nervous system regulation, and energy work, I support women in gently reconnecting with themselves, rebuilding trust within, and remembering who they are beneath everything they’ve been through. You’re not too far gone. You’re not broken. How to reach Mica: Facebook “This is the place we get unstuck from trauma, and grounded in our healing”.

Ep: 128 From Competition To Purpose | Daniel Sterlings Story

Rebuilt: Season in Bloom - Featuring Daniel Sterling ‱ Don't forget to: Follow The School of Hard Knocks ‱ Add this episode to your library ‱ Share with someone who needs this message Meet our Guest: Daniel Sterling grew up in the early years and the wild west of Aspen, CO. Risk became his go-to. A range of jobs – some hard labor, others downright dangerous – supported his early pursuit of alpine ski racing success. While he skied fast enough to land in the top ten in the US, he recalls the fallout and disillusionment of coming up short of being great. A stint in television news, and a bit of public visibility, added little substance to his life. Nor did a determined campaign to write and direct feature films. The sort of personal growth and fulfillment he sought seemed undefinable and out of reach. That is until he emotionally cratered mid-life, and crossed paths with a remarkable and singular mentor. Benefitting from her insights, rigor and skills, Sterling reflects on an impactful journey of self-discovery that would lead him out of a wilderness of disillusion and destructive behavior. In his hunger to live an examined life and become self-directed, he discovered the sort of purpose and meaning that would reframe his entire world view, and in the best way imaginable. The result is his first book, a candid, insightful, and witty memoir, from which the reader may just take away a bit of encouragement and good will. How to reach Daniel: www.daniel-sterling.com
