256. Lemonade
10 years ago this day, a scrappy duo set forth on a mission to fill the digital airspace with their limited and surface-level takes on stuff - most of it entertainment-oriented. The Show Show's pilot episode dissected the pilot of Game of Thrones. That was the exclusive focus then, but the podcast has evolved to be much looser, and its hosts have evolved to be much busier. In spite of our best intentions, there's a non-zero chance the arrival of this little side project was a horseman of the apocalypse. At best, we leeched a poison upon one of the world's great film stars, and it may just have been his undoing. But, hey, you're here too. So we won't take all the blame. Enjoy this grand, if low-key, reunion. And always remember: NTWS.
255. I'm Still Skeptical About It
254. Bear-ly Even Watched It
Summer update! Sweets & Slaney catch up on the biggest and most essential shows of the year so far, and discuss a few movie projects that simply can't be too speculated upon. Chats about the new season of The Bear are reserved for the end of the episode. Spoilers ARE included, although that's not even enough warning for all members of the podcast.
253. The Sex Lives of College Girls, Which I Detest
The boys are back in town. The town of your podcast queue, that is. A great deal of life to catch up on, most of which involves the content we’ve been consuming. Chats about the Golden Globes, Say Nothing, English Teacher, Saturday Night, and much much more! Enjoy!
252. Michael Clayton's Day Off
The previous episode of the pod saw Sweets and Slaney offering informal film assignments to one another: and so Sweets has seen Training Day, and Slaney has seen Say Anything. There are also chats here about dozens of other things seen since. Plus a veep candidate wrote Hillbilly Elegy, a bunch of famous people died, and one, notably, didn't. Enjoy!
