She is best known for writing The Vampire Chronicles [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Vampire_Chronicles]. She later adapted the first volume in the series [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Interview_with_the_Vampire] into a commercially successful eponymous film, Interview with the Vampire [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Interview_with_the_Vampire_(film)] (1994).
