State of Unapologetic Black Joy feat. Tony Nabors Consulting "How Does Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Education Matter in Race & Gender Policy Organizing?"

Episode 6 Hey fam hey! This month’s episode we are in conversation with Tony Nabors of Tony Nabors Consulting  (pictured) as we discuss why diversity, equity and inclusion education based models matter in advocacy and justice policy organizing. We were inspired by two book resources we have listed below written by Black Feminist political movement historian and scholar activist Dr. Barbara Ransby and social worker, activist and cultural commentator Feminista Jones.  For us Dr. Ransby and Feminista Jones' scholarship are an integral part of our missional statement of putting theory into practice or praxis at te SUBJ. Our praxis being the reclaiming of cultural and creative capital for Black millennial creatives in the marketplace of ides by curating intersectional justice-based media content in pop culture, public policy, and the performing arts.  Dr. Barbara Ransby author of “Making All Black Lives Matter: Reimagining Freedom in the 21st Century” Feminista Jones author of “Reclaiming Our Space: How Black Feminists Are Changing the World from the Tweets to the Streets”
