Caught In A Moment

As we enter 2012 I took a reflective look back over some of the great music I have encountered this year from all genres, but in particular I was struck by a soulful vibe which seemed to fit the moment. Here is the result of that feeling – a rough n' ready, impulsive mix that had me digging around the crates to feed that need for soulful tunes in that moment. This is by no means a run-down of new soul tunes from 2011 – merely the result that came about after adopting a reflective state of mind. Enjoy... and a Happy New Year to you all! ... CC

It's beats with a soulful or jazz vibe running throughout and would probably work just as well in the heat of summer. Get stuck in, and as always... expect the unexpected!

15-06-09 June Mix: That Boogie Buzz

House? Check. Disco? Check. Funk? Check. Soul? Check. This ones got a few twists and turns to keep you guessing, but keeps it upbeat throughout. It's quite "spacey" in parts which is how i'm liking things right now and gets quite soulful towards the end. Enjoy!
