Eric Liljestrand is a guitarist, producer and engineer based in Los Angeles. He began his career in the downtown New York art music scene in the early 1980s, engineering , playing guitar and programming for Peter Gordon, David Van Tieghem, Arthur Russell, Laurie Anderson and Diamanda Galas. Unlike many of his peers, Eric branched out into live sound, theater sound design, film scoring, sound effects and composition. A long and fruitful collaboration with Hal Willner yielded films by Robert Altman and Martin Scorcese, as well as a season of Saturday Night Live.
