Blind Luck ~ Beating the Odds ~ Living Life and Getting on with Business with David Dean

David Dean was born with a rare disorder Barde - Biedel Syndrome which led to a Stigmatism and RP at the age of five that affected his eyesight and life. By the age of 14/15, his eyesight had deteriorated to the point where he was diagnosed as legally blind. Despite that, Dave finished high school and then went on to complete TAFE courses in Certificate III in Music Industry (Technical Production and Certificate IV in Music (Business) both at South bank Institute of TAFE in 2002 and then a Diploma in Music Industry Business at Sunshine Coast TAFE, Nambour in 2006. To this day he's the only blind person to have done this. In 2002 at the age of 19, Dave started his own company called Hostile Entertainment where he's worked with musicians such as The Amity Affliction, Parkway Drive, Daryl Braithwaite, Mental as Anything and The Black Sorrows just to name a few.
