Cassie is an LCSW based in Denver, CO where she runs her private practice, Inner Atlas Therapy. She uses EMDR Therapy and Internal Family Systems Therapy to treat complex trauma, disordered eating and body image, and sex and relationships. Cassie is an EMDRIA Approved Consultant and a senior faculty member at Kase and CO, an EMDR training business where she offers an EMDR and Disordered Eating course for therapists. In this episode, Cassie shares her own story of growing up in purity culture, how that shaped her, particularly in relationship to her own body, and what she sees in clinical practice around purity culture, sex, and body image. This is an amazing conversation and Cassie brings so much wisdom, experience, and insight to this discussion.
