Are you ready for a 10 MILE MULTI-SURFACE RACE  like no other and a chance to represent the Western New York city closest to your heart? The Second Annual Metro 10 pits two unique running communities against each other in a friendly competition where every runner’s time counts. You choose the city closest to your heart. Maybe you grew up in Buffalo and worked in Rochester, or maybe when you were in college you spent a night at Nick’s eating a Garbage Plate in college or downed an order of Wings at The Anchor Bar in Buffalo. Maybe you ran your first 5k in Rochester or Buffalo. It doesn’t matter where you live, you choose which team you want to represent and  help them proudly hold the title of fastest running community in Western New York as they hoist up the Metro 10 Cup!. In addition to the opportunity to taste victory, you will have the opportunity to eat some of the  foods that made each area famous and listen to some of the region’s best musicians. The 2016 event promises to be bigger and better with an earlier start time of 8:20 a.m and craft beer at the post race party. Due to popular demand, we will also be offering a 5-mile option.  From http://metro10race.com/

The Thomas Loop Radio Show w/cohost Nick Wojton-Rick Crogan - #NFMAF - 6/15/2016

The Thomas Loop Radio Show for June 15th, 2016 - features Rick Crogan, founder of the Niagara Falls Music & Art Festival to be held at Seneca Square - Seneca Niagara Resort & Casino, June 17th, 18th & 19th - starting at 4pm Friday June 17th.  Information about the NFMAF can be found at http://www.festivalatthefalls.com Mission Statement The Niagara Falls Music & Art Festival is a production of Balabans LLC a New York State Limited Liability Corporation, its purpose is to improve the quality of life for individuals, business owners, and the community as a whole through the presentation of a diverse collection of Artists, Musicians, Vendors, and Activities to foster economic growth and cultural diversity. Founder’s Statement The Niagara Falls Music & Arts Festival started out as the Main Street Music & Art Festival, which was founded by Rick Crogan in 2010. Rick invited friends for dinner and began to sell his idea and passion for Main Street and Niagara Falls. Rick was recruiting the “Creative Class” to rebuild and invest its heart and soul in Niagara Falls. The creative class, which is the driving force, along with supporters and believers in Niagara Falls, began to meet regularly over dinner, bottles of wine, and sketch pads in hand. There were encouraging discussions on how we could make an impact, and draw visitors and residents into our dream of a vibrant, artistic, and eclectic community. An intense community drive for Beautification, Art, and Music became our driving force. The Niagara Falls Music & Art Festival was born!
