Descripción

The Pennsylvania Perimeter Ride Against Cancer (PPRAC) is a fundraiser for the American Cancer Society. Founded in 1983, PPRAC began with the simple idea of cycling around the perimeter of Pennyslvania. This July a group of 75 or more will begin their ride in New Hampshire and culminate in Palmerton, PA, consisting of 500 miles over a 6 day period. The ride is 100% volunteer supported, including all meals and lodging. In this podcast you will hear a conversation with 5 of those riders: founder Bob Freed, committee member Dave Pryor, Selene Yeager, Nat Amato, and Erin Mascelli who will be riding PPRAC for the first time. You will hear about how it is that such an enormous event can send nearly 100% of the monies raised to American Cancer Society, what it is like to spend almost a whole week on the bike through weather and ambitious hill climbing, the outpouring of support and appreciation expressed throughout the entire journey, and how you can get involved supporting the cause! One way is to come out to the Yoga + Spin-a-thon At Yukato Yoga on January 14th! Take any amount of yoga and spin classes from 8 am - 8 pm, or just donate to the case and earn a chance to win a variety of spectacular prizes! Learn more, sign up for classes, and donate here: http://yukatoyoga.com/yoga-spinathon-for-pprac/
