Who Are the ‘Workers’? Principles and Challenges of a Fairer Gig Economy

In this episode, Oğuz Alyanak, postdoctoral researcher at the Oxford Internet Institute's Fairwork [https://fair.work/en/fw/homepage/]project, and I talked about the challenges in the gig economy. With examples such as the Gorillas Workers Collective (Berlin), we explored how community activism can drive us towards a fairer gig economy. Lastly, we discussed how researchers and consumers can participate action-oriented initiatives such as Fairwork as activists.
