Descripción

Nelson Lin is a mechanical engineer, software engineer, real estate investor, stand-up comedian, and former politician. Oh, and he's 26 years old. In this episode, we discuss everything from the agony of industrial dishwashing, why the 2008 financial crisis wasn't so bad for multifamily, and even how to monetize a meme page. We'd love to hear your feedback, including who/what you want to hear next!

#1 - Short Term Rentals with BookedOut101's Darik Merbach

Today, we have our first guest, Darik Merbach, the founder of BookedOut101. BookedOut101 is a short-term rental management company that helps property owners reduce management expenses, increase rental income, and simplify tenant bookings. They use new marketing channels like AirBnb to reach a broader audience then your typical property manager. They obsess over local conferences, events, and other market trends to make sure your property is the first option that any organization is presented with. BookedOut101 is currently managing property in Dallas and Reno, and will soon be in South Lake Tahoe. If any of you are interested in how this model works in more detail, please reach out and we can either answer your questions or connect you with Darik directly. Be warned. We have no official studio, terrible recording equipment, and no editing experience so please excuse the background noises (sirens, plates clinking, etc.). If we find enough engagement in our audio interviews, we’ll invest in all of these things for the future, but for now, we’re just testing the waters.
