Sustaining community takes a lot of work. Building new community is even harder. But, if you decide to relocate, that is what you are signing up for. It can be a challenging, yet beautiful learning experience. My special guest knows that all too well as she is currently navigating through this reality.  I am joined by my good friend turned sister, Oriell Harris, who has recently relocated some 700 miles from her childhood home. On today's episode she recounts her journey,  shares some lessons learned, and drops some much needed nuggets to encourage anyone who may be thinking of relocating. Connect with Oriell via her personal page - @simplyoriell [https://www.instagram.com/simplyoriell/], her podcast page - @seoulsistahspod [https://www.instagram.com/seoulsistahspod/], and her blog page - @faithful.findings [https://www.instagram.com/faithful.findings/].  Follow the podcast on Instagram @thewhoyouknow_ [https://www.instagram.com/thewhoyouknow_/]or send an email to hello@thewhoyouknow.com. Who Is Showing Up Today?

Since the dawn of time, people have been creating identities and personas to navigate life. Some love the idea of being able to play multiple roles, while others find it exhausting. Wherever you find yourself on the spectrum, you probably won't make it too far before your next encounter where you have to decide if the most authentic version of you is showing up to the party or if you will be presenting a persona.  On this episode, I am joined by the one and only Larissa, aka Doctor L! She is a longtime friend turned sister who is navigating through this in real time. Even from across the ocean, she has come with the gems and the nuggets for us on this topic. We really chopped it up this episode as we get real and honest about how we show up in the world. We show up in whatever way works best for us as we evolve and we learn to accept ourselves and others along the way.  Connect with Larissa on Instagram @thebougiedoctor [https://www.instagram.com/thebougiedoctor/] Follow the podcast on Instagram @thewhoyouknow_ [https://www.instagram.com/thewhoyouknow_/]or send an email to hello@thewhoyouknow.com. You have homework! This week, think about the various spaces you navigate and the different personas you have for each. These personas can encompass you as a spouse, parent, sibling, friend, colleague, boss, entrepreneur, employee, caretaker, etc.  For each persona you identify, respond to the questions below to identify if the most authentic version of yourself shows up in each:  1. What version of me shows up as a [insert persona such as "colleague"]?  2. Do I have peace when I am showing up as a [insert persona such as "wife"]? 3. What, if anything, needs to change so that the most authentic version of me can show up everyday as a [insert persona such as "parent"]?

What Are We?

Hey y'all! Welcome to another episode of The Who You Know Podcast. Today's episode is all about relationships. Not romantic relationships (we can talk about those until we are all blue). Instead, we are discussing adult friendships, acquaintanceships, and all the other "ships".   I am joined by my first guest! Samuel Fadojutimi is a friend, brother, mentor, confidant, and so much more. He, like many of us, has had to develop a level of intentionality as he navigates the myriad of relationships in his life. Tune in to hear how he manages expectations to keep these relationships growing.   Connect with Samuel on Instagram @sammmiesosa91 [https://www.instagram.com/sammmiesosa91/] and @olayemiwatches [https://www.instagram.com/olayemiwatches/] (https://olayemiwatches.com/ [https://olayemiwatches.com/]).  Follow the podcast on Instagram @thewhoyouknow_ [https://www.instagram.com/thewhoyouknow_/]or send an email to hello@thewhoyouknow.com.   You have homework!  For the next 7 days, spend time meditating on your relationships - personal and professional. Pay attention to the people you cross paths with and ponder on the questions below as you think about how and why you are in relationship with these individuals.   1. Why am I relationship with this person?   2. Do I like the type of relationship I have with this person? Does anything need to change?   3. If the relationship I have with this person started to fade, would I fight to save it or let it end?

Who Are You?

Hey good people! Welcome to the Who You Know Podcast. In this inaugural episode, we are chatting about who we are and what we know about ourselves. The good, the bad, and the weird stuff in the middle. Our character traits are showing up and clocking in every day whether we want them to or not. So, why not increase our awareness so we can embrace them or change them. There is nothing more powerful than walking in total confidence that you are who you are flaws and all. Let's get in to it!  Want to connect? Follow the podcast on Instagram @thewhoyouknow_ or send an email to hello@thewhoyouknow.com.  This week's challenge: Respond to the following questions as you reflect on who you are today. You may surprise yourself!  What 3-5 words would I use to describe myself? What are my values (keep this list concise, no more than 7)?  What do I feel I have been called to do in the world?  What is my best character trait?  What is my worst character flaw?  What are two GOOD things I've discovered about myself recently? What are two NOT SO GOOD things I've discovered about myself recently? How does this information make me feel about myself?  BONUS:  What do I want to do with this information?  If I plan to do anything with this information, what is my deadline, what outcome do I hope to see, and how will I be held accountable?
