Not communal living or losing our independence, but creating meaningful friendships, asking for help, and becoming the kind of person who shows up for others too. Melissa Gut Harmony Mama

In this episode, I’m joined by Melissa Sowery, the creator of Gut Harmony Mama — a mother, educator, and passionate advocate for a gentler, gut-first approach to starting solids. Her journey began with her eldest child's struggles with eczema, and a growing sense that mainstream weaning advice wasn't addressing the root causes of the health challenges so many children face today. We explore the connection between gut health, immunity, eczema, allergies, asthma, and the modern influences that can impact a child's microbiome from the very beginning — including antibiotics, birth interventions, formula feeding, processed foods, and environmental exposures.
