It's May. The birds are chirping, the flowers are blooming, the temperatures are rising, and the bombs are flying over the Strait of Hormuz again. For this second episode of TWIU, I'm joined by my friend and comrade Heidi Berry for an in-depth conversation about patriarchy, the so-called "male loneliness epidemic," and how Marxist-Leninist feminism can lead us out of it. I also talk about Congress whining about Hasan Piker, the absolute state of the Democratic Party, and why I'm not (yet) digging Axiom's End by Lindsay Ellis. Here's that Chris Knight article we discuss about matrilineal kinship in early human society: https://libcom.org/article/engels-was-right-early-human-kinship-was-matrilineal [https://libcom.org/article/engels-was-right-early-human-kinship-was-matrilineal] Music HERE: https://soundcloud.com/hashthestampede/sets/moth-nor-rust [https://soundcloud.com/hashthestampede/sets/moth-nor-rust]

Ghastly's Ghastly Comic with Uncle Ghastly (Chris Cracknell!)

This is a big'un for me, folks. 25 years ago a little webcomic called Ghastly's Ghastly Comic hit the internet, forever altering the course of my life. Ever since the tentacled beasties of GGC violated the passion of my innocence around 2003-2004 (when I was way too young to be reading it), my sense of humor and relationship with the internet has never been the same. It has been exactly 25 years to the day since Kiki met Glemph in that first ever strip, and to celebrate, Uncle Ghastly himself spent a whole evening reminiscing with me about the comic, other art and music projects, and creativity in general. From introducing me to the works of HP Lovecraft to the first portrayal of a trans character I EVER remember seeing, GGC has a special place in my heart and I am so honored to help keep it alive with this interview. If the passion of your innocence has never been violated by tentacled lust, then go read Ghastly's Ghastly Comic RIGHT NOW so you can join the club! GGC-heads rise up! (The comic is EXTREMELY NSFW so be warned!)
