The World of Work
Most people follow major world events through politics, ideology, or military developments. But what happens when you look at them through an economic lens? In this episode, I use the conflict involving Iran as a case study to explore how wars, energy markets, trade disruptions, and economic shocks can affect jobs, industries, wages, and opportunities around the world. We'll discuss the potential impacts on oil and natural gas markets, economic growth projections, transportation costs, manufacturing, and developing economies. More importantly, we'll talk about why understanding these forces can help you make better career and employment decisions in an uncertain world. My goal isn't to tell you what to think about the conflict itself. My goal is to help you understand how major events can ripple through the global economy and eventually affect workers, businesses, and job markets far from the headlines. Knowledge is power. The more you understand how the world works, the better prepared you'll be to navigate it. Send us Fan Mail [https://www.buzzsprout.com/2610959/fan_mail/new]
