Descripción

I am so devastated to have read about my friend Bob Miniger whose life was suddenly taken away on Monday afternoon (Feb 18, 2019) while riding his bike in Bonita Beach Road Monday afternoon. We last saw him on Saturday morning when he joined us for our open water swim at Vanderbilt Beach. Then spent time afterwards having breakfast at Fit n Fuel with a few friends. He was so excited about the year ahead with his forthcoming year as a triathlete. He was one of the best souls on this planet. Rest in peace Bob. I along with many of us will truly miss you.

Being Fit Fast & Fabulous - The Remarkable Story of Triathlete Karen Tamson

Karen Tamson is a hugely successful age-group triathlete living in Naples, Florida who balances her time with her family, training, racing and coaching as a Certified USAT Coach. This interview takes place two weeks after she placed 1st in her age group at 2019 Ironman Texas which automatically qualifies her to compete in the 2019 Ironman World Championship in Kona Hawaii in October 2019. We cover a lot of ground from her influences with her running and swimming to her first bike two weeks before her first ever triathlon. Karen's first major triathlon was at the 2009 ITU Long Distance Triathlon World Championship in Perth Australia. Her first full distance Ironman race was the 2011 Ironman Texas in the Woodlands. Karen finally realized her life long time goal by qualifying to compete in the 2018 Ironman World Championship in Kona by placing second in her age group at 2018 Ironman Texas North American Championship. This year will be her second trip to Kona.

Award Winning Filmmaker Carlos Plummer on “Becoming Rich” - Episode #10

"Becoming Rich " is a short, self produced documentary by 17-year old Carlos Plummer that chronicles the amazing life and career of magician, mentalist, entertainer and YouTuber Rich Ferguson. His film won the Best Student Film Central Coast Filmmakers Showcase Award at the 2019 San Luis Obispo Film Festival. The film has also been selected for the 2019 Kanab Film Festival and was featured in the 2018 Docutah Fest Festival. My interview covers the making of Carlos’ award winning documentary, his family involvement as his crew, the production & directing, and the costs of promoting his film at film festivals around the country. He continues to raise monies via his GoFundMe account at https://www.gofundme.com/becomingrichfilmfestfund to promote his film during the 2019 film festival season. Both Jeff Plummer, Carlos’ father, and Carlos talk about their earlier beginnings with film production and the impact that their family has had on their close connection to film and the industry. Carlos will be celebrating his 18th birthday and is excited about being accepted to Dixie State University - the school his brother Kyle will be graduating from this year.
