This episode was recorded by the Youth Voices Connect team, the Town Turnover parent programme. We thought if fitting to share this as the first Town Turnover podcast in support of mental health awareness week! In this raw honest and open discussion, the Youth Voices Connect team discuss how mental health provision and delivery of services for young people could be improved to provide a more proactive approach and highlighted the need for dedicated engagement within schools, allowing young people to access services and/or support more easily. ☀️ The PAC-MAN analogy was used to describe feelings when someone is not able to express emotions. We then go onto discuss solutions and positive coping mechanisms which young people can employ to help them find a safe haven in times of need. ☀️ The team shared "Everyone has got internal battles they are fighting" and every young person should get the mental health support they need when they need it!
