Some of the most unhelpful advice I’ve found about overthinking is that you’re supposed to somehow stop thinking.I don’t think that’s possible.In this episode, I talk through five things that have actually helped me with overthinking: realizing that stopping thought isn’t the goal, becoming aware of the thought, getting curious about what’s underneath it, feeling the emotion instead of turning it into another mental spreadsheet, and using breath/body awareness to come back to the present.You don’t have to do all of it at once.
