Next thing I knew, I was researching flights and discovering three simultaneous festivals at Tokyo Disney Resort—the Food and Wine Festival and Duffy's 20th anniversary at DisneySea, plus a Donald Duck celebration at Disneyland. With surprisingly reasonable flights from Houston and some strategic planning, this quick five-day adventure suddenly made perfect sense. I'll spend two days at Tokyo Disney Resort, staying at the Oriental Hotel Tokyo Bay (a Disney partner hotel with convenient shuttles), followed by three days exploring Tokyo proper from a hotel in Okachimachi—perfectly positioned between Akihabara and Ueno stations on the Yamanote Line.
