Siders 16 Kids: What Officials Can No Longer Tell You

A judge in Vinton County just signed a gag order that prevents the attorney general's office, the county prosecutor, and the sheriff from making any public statement about the case of sixteen children found in a Hamden, Ohio, home. The day before the order was signed, Ohio approved one million dollars in emergency funding to care for those same children. The order was filed by the defense attorney for Gary Siders Junior, whose unrelated indecent exposure warrant is the only reason deputies ever entered that house. Officials had described what they found — children crammed into a twelve-by-twelve-foot room, unable to communicate, living in conditions compared to livestock pens. The defense argued the language would poison the jury pool. The judge agreed. Truancy records from 2021 show Gallia County knew six Siders children had vanished from school. The cases were closed when the family couldn't be served. Gary Senior was released because the county couldn't afford his medical bills — a fact disclosed at a press conference that would now be prohibited under the gag order. Why Elizabeth Siders' Attorney Calls Her a Victim Too

Elizabeth Siders was fifteen years old when she was married off in West Virginia. She became the biological mother of every child found in a twelve-by-twelve room in rural Ohio — sixteen kids, some of whom could not speak, living in conditions investigators compared to livestock. She now faces sixteen felony counts of child endangerment. Her own defense attorney has argued in filings that she is a victim of this family. Defense attorney and former prosecutor Eric Faddis breaks down whether the law supports holding both of those positions simultaneously. The case has taken several turns since the arrest. Kash Patel Contradicted HIMSELF About Nancy Guthrie?!

The FBI Director told a podcast audience that his agents were kept out of the Nancy Guthrie investigation for four days, and that it cost them. There is a problem with that. On the third of February, two days after she was reported missing, an FBI special agent stood at a press conference in Tucson beside Sheriff Chris Nanos. And that same day, Kash Patel went on national television and said the Bureau was on the ground there with them. That is the sentence he cannot take back. Tony Brueski walks the whole ledger. The FBI and the Pima County Sheriff's Department issuing statements forty-five minutes apart in which each pointed at the other and neither claimed the lead. The Reuters report saying none of the ransom notes were genuine, contradicted publicly by FBI Phoenix a day later. A retired FBI agent who says there is genuine disagreement inside the Bureau about whether the evidence is even real. The plane Patel wanted credit for. The doorbell footage he wanted credit for. The glove that flew to Florida and back before anyone ran it. The partial DNA profile that cannot be run at all. And a sheriff answering for his own work history in the middle of the biggest case of his career. Cases like this rarely die because the offender was brilliant.
