Truth Be Told: Where Real Talk Meets Raw Faith
🎙 EPISODE 4 Truth Be Told Is… The Fight Isn’t Mine In this episode, I’m sharing my personal journey of fighting depression and anxiety, without claiming them as my identity. We’re talking honestly about trauma, anxious thoughts, emotional heaviness, and what it looks like to fight for your mental and spiritual health while standing firm in faith. I walk through my own experiences with depression and anxiousness, the signs I noticed along the way, and the scripture that shifted everything for me. In Exodus, Moses raises his hands as Joshua fights the Amalekites (Exodus 17:8-16) a reminder that sometimes the battle isn’t won by strength alone, but by surrender, support, and obedience to God.Even though I’m on the other side of some of my hardest seasons, this is still a daily fight. And that’s okay. Healing isn’t pretending the battle doesn’t exist, it’s learning how to fight it with God.If you’ve ever struggled with depression, anxiety, or mental heaviness and wondered how faith fits into the process, this episode is for you. What You’ll Hear in This Episode: • My personal experience with depression and anxiety • Trauma, triggers, and recognizing the signs• Why depression and anxiety are struggles — not identities • The biblical story of Moses, Joshua, and the Amalekites (Exodus 17) • What it means when the fight isn’t yours to carry alone• Faith-based ways to fight mentally and spiritually • Why healing is ongoing and still worth pursuing If you’re in the middle of the fight, you’re not weak, you’re human. Comment “still fighting” if this resonated, and know you’re not alone here. For all business inquiries please email xoxoqlynn@gmail.com
