#3 - Allan and Reinier talk about just what it is like to live 65 years with FASD.

Reinier deSmit has lived with being on the FASD spectrum for 65 years, as of this recording. For about 56 of those years he did not know he was on this spectrum - and that lack of knowledge made his life VERY challenging.   Ironically, perhaps, his diagnosis helped to set him free from many negative thoughts about himself and his worth in the world.  And his 'hidden disorder' helped him appreciate and understand better those that DO have an FASD diagnosis.  This conversation covers just some of the insights that Reinier has uncovered in the last decade or so of living 'consciously' on the FASD spectrum.  This podcast series features discussions on Nova Scotia's FASD world - and beyond.  Visit FANS www.fasdns.ca [https://www.fasdns.ca] to learn more!
