A man who wore the mask of a handsome, intelligent law student, a volunteer at a suicide hotline, and a charming boyfriend… while beneath it all lurked one of the most prolific serial killers this country has ever seen. Bundy confessed to 30 murders, but many experts believe the real number is higher—possibly 36 or more. His victims were mostly young women with long dark hair, parted in the middle. He used his charisma like a weapon, luring them with fake injuries or authority figures before bludgeoning, raping, and murdering them. Today (as of this recording) marks the 31st anniversary of one of the deadliest acts of domestic terrorism in United States history—the Oklahoma City bombing. On April 19th, 1995, at 9:02 a.m., a rented Ryder truck packed with explosives detonated outside the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building in downtown Oklahoma City. In a matter of seconds, 168 people were killed, including 19 children. Hundreds more were injured. An entire community—and a nation—was left in shock.
