"just surrender it"

hey guys… welcome back to what the junk. this episode is all about surrender. letting go of control. letting go of our expectations. letting go of the way we thought things were supposed to go. people tell us to “surrender it” all the time… but do we even know what that means? because a lot of us say we trust God… but we still try to control the outcome, the timing, the people, and the plan. and maybe surrender feels so hard because we can’t really trust someone we don’t know. so this episode is about learning to know His heart, trusting that He is good, and believing that He can make good out of anything, even the things that feel broken, painful, or impossible. we also start this episode with a Q&A from questions you guys asked on Instagram, talking honestly about what surrender really looks like in everyday life. and the beautiful thing is… Jesus gets it. in the Garden, He knew what it felt like to face fear, suffering, and the weight of what was ahead. He prayed, “not my will, but Yours be done.” Jesus does not just tell us to surrender from a distance. He shows us how. because that’s the story of the Cross. what looked like defeat became redemption. so maybe surrender isn’t about giving up. maybe it’s about finally letting God be God. so what the junk are we still holding onto? let’s surrender it.

i'm just so busy

Hey guys… it’s been a while. excited to be back! this episode is a real one. just an honest conversation and kind of a wake-up call for all of us. we say we’re busy… but honestly, we make time for what we want to. and sometimes the enemy doesn’t need to pull us into something bad. he just keeps us distracted enough to forget about God. because if we’re always moving, always scrolling, always doing… we never slow down enough to actually be with Him. and He’s not asking for a perfect routine or schedule. He just wants relationship. He calls you His son. His daughter. it’s time to get back to the feet of Jesus. so what’s actually taking priority in your life? what keeps getting your time… instead of Him? so what the junk are we so busy with?

In this first episode, you’ll get to know a little about me, how I got here, why I’m starting this podcast, and where the name What the Junk came from. We talk about what it really means to dream with the Lord; not having everything figured out, but trusting God with your gifts, desires, and future, and being willing to take faithful risks instead of always playing it safe.
