Descripción

Ahhh - here we go!!  Welcome to my podcast, I'm SO excited you're here.  Join me, Kayla, as I dive into the emotions and experiences that make us who we are.  Each week, I talk with someone who inspires me, and we dive into what makes us human.  Whether it's discussing how societal expectations or past trauma effect us, or what we feel and think on the day to day, my goal is to rid the stigma around the experiences and thoughts we have that we think only happen to us - and that by sharing our experiences, you feel less alone.  Come along as we get vulnerable, share, and explore what makes us who we are.

Episode 3: Religion with Michael

Hey hey and welcome to the third episode!!  This has been a long time coming - Michael Ceder (my husband) joins me in this episode to chat about the big "R" word - Religion. We've had a long, complicated journey with religious observance, and we've worked hard to come to a place where we value and respect our roots - but at the same time are committed to living our truth. We talk about where we've come from, what we really think about some of the things we were taught as children, and our personal beliefs about the universe and God. We hope you like it! Translations:  Frum ("froom") - The practice of Orthodox Religious Observance Bitachon ("Bee-tah-chon") - belief Emunah ("eh-moo-nuh") - faith Olam Habah ("oh-lum ha-buh") - the world to come, another way of referring to Heaven Gihenum ("gih-heh-num") - hell Feedback? Episode 2: Childhood Experiences with Talia

Hey hey and welcome to the second episode!!  My friend Talia joins me in this episode and we talk about our childhood experiences and how they impacted us, and how we see those experiences continue to show up for us as adults. We talk about our journey understanding that although we come from a specific gene pool, we are not our parents. We also chat about reframing our understanding of mental illness and how therapy is awesome.  Heads up - we get into some pretty deep shit.
