The Gospel & How it Brings Wholeness

Ok Ya’ll!! This ep is super Word heavy!! As it should! So grab your journal, your favorite pen & your coffee or matcha and let’s dive deep into this wholeness journey with the Lord! What is the gospel? How does the gospel bring wholeness? Isaiah 53:5 says: But he was pierced for our transgressions; he was crushed for our iniquities; upon him was the chastisement that brought us peace, and with his wounds we are healed. 1 Peter 2:24 He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, that we might die to sin and live to righteousness. By his wounds you have been healed. How can you practically receive wholeness for your life? 1. Repent and receive the Lord Jesus not only as your Savior but Lord of your heart life. What's the difference between making Jesus your Savior and making him your Lord? Making Jesus your Savior is the starting point! You accept that He died for your sins and trust Him for your salvation. You believe that His sacrifice on the cross paid for your sins, so you are forgiven and have eternal life. You also receive His grace accepting you are a child of God. When you make Jesus your Lord, you are surrendering your life to Him, allowing Him to lead and guide you in every area -- your decisions, relationships, goals, and actions. It's about obedience, following His teachings, and living in a way that honors Him! 2. Daily encounter! Come to Him daily. Ask Him what He says about you. What does He say about the hard things that you've gone through. Write them down, then ask Him for a verse that will bring truth to the situation and the thoughts that may be lingering regarding that. Your thoughts shape your life (Romans 12:2). To experience wholeness, replace lies, insecurities, and negative mindsets with the truth of God’s Word. Read, meditate, and declare scriptures about your identity in Christ. Some Scriptures to apply: Psalm 34:18 The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit. Psalm 147:3 He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds. Psalm 30:2 O Lord my God, I cried to you for help, and you have healed me. Mark 5:25-34 34 And he said unto her, Daughter, thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace, and be whole of thy plague. 3. Heal from Past Wounds Through Forgiveness. This is a BIG one!! Unforgiveness, bitterness, and past hurts keep us broken. Jesus calls us to forgive (Ephesians 4:31-32) because forgiveness releases healing—not just for others but for you. Let go of pain by surrendering it to God. 4. Walk in Your God-Given Identity Wholeness comes when you understand who you are in Christ: loved, chosen, and purposed (Ephesians 1:4-5, 1 Peter 2:9). Reject the world’s definitions and embrace what God says about you. 5. Live by the Holy Spirit’s Power You don’t have to strive for wholeness on your own. The Holy Spirit is your helper (John 14:26). When you walk by the Spirit, He leads you into freedom and fruitfulness (Galatians 5:22-25). 6. Be Part of a Godly Community Wholeness is nurtured in fellowship with other believers (Hebrews 10:24-25). Surround yourself with people who encourage and challenge you in faith. Healing often comes through relationships, accountability, and prayer. 7. Trust God in Every Season Life will have challenges, but wholeness means trusting God’s plan even in difficulties (Romans 8:28). Let Him refine you through trials rather than break you. Surrender your worries, and rest in His peace (Philippians 4:6-7). 8. Walk in Purpose and Obedience True wholeness is found when you live out your God-given purpose. God created you with a plan in mind (Jeremiah 29:11, Ephesians 2:10). Obedience to His calling brings fulfillment, joy, and completeness. Final Thought: Jesus is Your Source of Wholeness
